During my first three years of living in Western Australia I had no interest in the main city, I did not find anything inspiring about it, mainly shiny buildings and people moving up and down, but no everyday scenes like the ones I grew up seeing. No children playing in the streets after school, no grocery shopping, no elderly sitting in a bench reading the newspaper.
One Friday I decided to give it a second chance and spent the day moving around with my camera. I've continued with my visits, it's been almost three years now.
The light is the reason why I go back again and again. I study the light that falls on the people. Every day is different, every week changes and magical scenes unfold in front of you all the time.
In the city where nobody lives, not many things happen, but the harsh Australian light makes ordinary scenes, extraordinary.
